Alexandra Jones

Alexandra Jones is an experienced and qualified governance professional. She has served in senior executive and governance positions in United Nations and Commonwealth organisations, international non-governmental organisations, regulatory bodies, membership organisations and foundations. She has also worked in management consultancy with McKinsey and Co, and serves on several academic and charitable boards.

Previous roles have included: Director of Strategy and Board Secretary, Commonwealth Secretariat; Chief Executive of the Westminster Foundation for Democracy, and of the Chartered Institute of Linguists; Senior Governance Adviser in the UNDP; and Governance Director at Amnesty International. Alexandra is currently Governance Manager at the International Integrated Reporting Council.

Alexandra holds Masters’ degrees from the Universities of Oxford (languages), Harvard (public administration) and London (international relations).  She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Linguists, and is multilingual.  Alexandra is a music-lover and a prizewinning published poet, singer, harpist and composer.
